Overview
The ‘eMusicBusinessGame’ is a unique interactive tool for teaching and learning e-Business Marketing and Management. It is part of the serious games category. It will help to improve the students’ and business executives’ skills in e-business marketing and management.
The project’s main goal is to provide the players of the learning process in the field of Business Administration and Web-Marketing with an open source Web based e-Business game simulation running inside or outside a Learning Management System (LMS) environment. It has been especially designed for the faculty members, teachers, trainers, tutors and their students. This online interactive teaching and learning simulation software tool has been named “eBusinessGame” because it focuses on the digital Web music market taken as a test bed market. Isn’t selling digital music through the Web still a challenging business? At least it should strengthen the learners’ involvement in their learning process, and improve their understanding of e-Business marketing and management and finally the effectiveness of learning.

Game model characteristics:
- Based on e-Business models;
- Focuses on selling of digital goods with non redundancy of purchases (e.g.: downloadable music);
- Game model refers to real data of the music market;
- Simulates dynamically the decision-making processes of the firm and the market;
- Allows the market entry of several competitors (teams);
- Works by cycles: each round is made of a set of decisions’ inputs, a simulation running of the model and a feedback to the players);
- Multiple decisions input: marketing, finance, Human Resource, technology;
- User-definable game modeling.
Game scenario properties:
- User-definable scenario but default scenario embedded;
- Game scenario adaptable to different teaching levels (beginners or advanced, graduate or post-graduate, initial or vocational training).
